Acumen has an abundance of customization options to suit your workflow. Today we’re going to start at the beginning and take a look at the Acumen interface and the General Settings.
The Home Button is the starting place for Acumen. The icon is a light blue circle with a white sunflower inside which can be found at the top left-hand corner of the screen.
The Home Button has all your standard file operation features, which are, from the dropdown dialog:
Create New, Open, Save, Save As, and Close
The Quick Access Toolbar is right next to the Home button. Currently, in Figure 2 below, we’re only displaying the “Save” Quick Access button or icon.
However, to the right of this Save button is a small upside-down black triangle, which we refer to as a caret. If we click on the caret, we see a drop-down menu and we can add other items to the Quick Access Toolbar by checking them, such as New, and Open.
The good news is that you can also select any feature in Acumen and add it to the Quick Access Toolbar. In this example we’ll select the “Import Oracle Primavera file”.
If we right click on that, from the pop-up menu we can select “Add to Quick Access Toolbar”.
There’s a lot more to all this and we’ve produced a short video explaining Deltek’s Acumen Fuse General and User Interface settings in more detail.
