Primavera P6 Video Tutorial
When you have limited resource availability for your projects, you may wish to use leveling techniques available in Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM to determine what impact these limitations will have on your project portfolio.
The Primavera P6 EPPM resource leveling provides functionality for leveling resources based upon project and activity priorities. Resource leveling will move activities to reduce overloads. You can define priorities at the project and activity level to ensure higher priority projects get first dibs on a particular resource.
This latest instructional video from Ten Six Consulting shows how to prepare and execute resource leveling across multiple projects.
You will learn how to prepare your projects for prioritization at the project and activity level depending on your needs. You will then learn how to create what-if copies of the project in order to perform resource leveling. In the final section of the video, you will see a resource leveling operation taking place and the effect the resource leveler has on the planned finish dates of each project.
Note: while Primavera P6 EPPM Release 8.2 is featured here, you can perform these steps in earlier version of the Primavera P6 web clients.
