Deltek Cobra 5.1 HotFix 18 introduces support for the new IPMR formats 1, 2, 4 and 5. I’ve been looking forward to this release because, as anticipated, it includes four of the five updated formats to support the new Data Item Description (DID), number DI_MGMT-81861 that went into effect on July 1st this year. Here’s a quick preview of the new formats.
After installing this HotFix you will see the additional IPMR reports in the All Reports view. You will also notice that the good old CPR Formats have remained too.
The new IPMR format 3 report is due out in December of this year. This format requires more changes than the other, which explains the slight delay. As for the rest of them, here’s a quick overview of the new IPMR formats. By and large these appear the same as the CPR Reports except for the main title changes and some modifications to acceptance date functionality.
EVMS Acceptance now has four options, as opposed to the checkbox and date field of previous versions. You can select from BLANK, No, Not Applicable or Yes in the EVMS Acceptance area of the Project Information dialog’s General tab.
On the IPMR Formats you will see the No or Yes field box checked in section 3.c. or N/A in the date field if the Not Applicable option has been selected. This functionality has also been retroactively included in the CPR Formats too.
Here’s a look at the new IPMR Reports.

IPMR Format 4
IPMR Format 4 Hours
IPMR Format 5
There’s quite a bit more to this than I have time to get into in this article; such as support for notating non-add burdens, materials, major subcontractor and vendor breakouts on format 2 and an IPMR format 2 summary field that’s been added to the Project Information dialog. I’ll publish a more detailed look at the changes that IPMR support has prompted in Cobra in a future article. For now I just wanted to show you what these new reports look like.
