Adrega PI 5.1 is Released
Adrega Project Intelligence (PI) was introduced in 2016 as a reporting solution for Primavera P6. It quickly became a popular reporting solution due to its many differing capabilities, including:
- Report bundling that automatically saved organizations man-hours by selecting and saving reports to PDF’s, ready for emailing to different departments.
- Selected reports can also be printed with ease ready for meetings with shareholders.
- Adrega PI’s versatility meant that it is compatible with all web-browsers on Windows, Apple, Android and Linux enabling users’ accessibility by reporting from a PC, tablet, Mac or Android phone.
- Primavera P6 and EPPM are both supported by importing XML files or using the Primavera Gateway to select files to import.
So, as a reporting tool Adrega PI supports portfolio, program and project reporting, producing status reports which are simply not available using BI Publisher. Also, reports in Adrega PI can be created without technical expertise as is often needed with BI Publisher.
Adrega PI users can easily create high quality, on-demand project reports such as s-curves, trend, and histograms which help to report an organization’s key needs. Gantt reports can be shared with the project team allowing the recipients to view and print them.
What’s New in Adrega PI 5.1?
First up, is a new and sleek interface complete with new icons. Previously, some of these features were only available by right-clicking through menus. New graphs have been added like the bubble chart which is very useful for analysis of portfolios and project properties. An example of this new dashboard and a selection of graphs options are displayed below in Figure 1.

Reporting on Primavera P6 Projects is Easy
When you import your XML files or select your Primavera import via the Gateway, Adrega PI will import both your current plan and the baseline. Using the ‘Reporting’ at the top of the interface, shown in Figure 1, users are offered a selection of ways to create a new project.
In Figure 2 below, ‘Create a new project using a new project using a Primavera P6 Web Service’ is highlighted indicating in this example that the user is importing via Primavera Gateway, and the selected Project to Import is ‘Order Management Redesign’.
Once the user clicks ‘Next’ in the bottom right-hand side of the screen the project is imported. When the project is next updated, Adrega PI will update the project with any new data and display the results in the dashboard.

Reporting Tools
The different templates for reporting are displayed below in Figure 3. These can be copied and shared with colleagues.

Once you have selected and imported your project, select the template you require for your report and a handy wizard will guide you through the process. Your report will be displayed on-screen complete with all cost, hours and materials.
If you don’t want to record hours or costs, there’s a modeling tool that will allow you to use duration instead. Timesheets can be approved in the web client or desktop client. You can archive your report or save it as a PDF ready for emailing to a colleague or manager.
There is a new Gantt chart view with this update, as displayed below in Figure 4. This is very useful for schedulers who are often required to print large and cumbersome charts. With Adrega PI, there is no more paper sizing to fit in all of a Gantt chart, all information is compiled and automatically saved to PDF ready for printing or emailing.

Summary
Existing Adrega PI users should upgrade to version 5.1 just for the updated interface and icons which are designed to prevent clicking through menus. Also, the increased reporting templates are another good reason to update. The Gantt chart is available for schedulers to attach to reports or print with ease.
If you haven’t tried Adrega PI 5.1 before, we recommend that you do as the whole reporting system is easy and fast. It allows users to import their projects, select a template and produce a report with just a few clicks. Many organizations like Adrega PI because it can be used as a centralized reporting solution that supports reporting standardization.
