Deltek Cobra 5 Integration Warning
[Warning]No rate found for Engineer, rate set Engineer on or before 01/31/2011
This warning appears for several reasons, but basically Deltek Cobra is telling you that it can’t construct the total cost of a resource assignment. It usually means there’s a problem within the rate file, but can in some less common circumstances, be an issue within the resources file.
Important note: while these are warning and do not stop the integration process, they do mean that Cobra has not been able to build the total cost for the name resource assignment. This means these warnings must be addressed or your performance measurement baseline (PMB) will be too low.
If you experience these warnings during schedule integration, check the following:
The Rates file – this warning will appear if…
…the named rate set is missing from the rate file.
…the named rate set is misspelled in the rate file
…the date of the first rate is later than the date of the first resource assignment in the schedule.
…there is a trailing space on either the rate set name, or in the resource file that is referencing the rate.
Check your rate file and your resources file for any of these above conditions.
Variations of this warning
[Warning]No rate found for Engineer, rate set Fringe on or before 01/31/2011
This above variant tells you that Deltek Cobra did find the rate for Engineer, but there is a problem with the rate for the engineer’s Fringe calculation. Again, this could be any of the previously listed issues but you should look for them on the Fringe rate, not the Engineer.
