All Ten Six training classes are developed and delivered by instructors with years of experience in the field. This brings a level of expertise to the class that helps participants understand the reason certain features exist and how those features can be used most effectively in the real world.

Training The Way You Want It
Our instructors build ‘hard knocks’ experience into the training, giving participants a much broader understanding of both the software system and its role in the business process it supports. Many of our training classes are available in three different delivery methods.
- Open classes held here at Virginia Beach, VA
- Remote, online, one-on-one training with a live instructor
- Onsite – classes held for individual clients
The number of folks you need to train and your location helps in selecting the best delivery method. Below are the three options:
Open Training Classes – Virginia Beach
A number of our courses are available as open classes at Virginia beach, VA. Held in some of the best hotels right on the Boardwalk, Virginia Beach is noted in the Guinness Book of Records, for being the longest pleasure beach in the world. These popular training classes blend a great training environment with the perfect location. Click here for more details about Virginia Beach.
Below are the current list of open classes being held here at Virginia Beach.

Remote Online Training
Some of our classes are also available as on-line training. In addition, if it’s just you that needs training, then our remote, on-line, one-on-one class would be the perfect option. Just you and one of our experienced instructors has numerous benefits including,
- No travel & living expenses
- Personalized tuition
- Class content flexibility where we can talk specifically about your situation
- Class pace is faster due to less distractions from other students
- Date and time flexibility – we can teach 2-days over content over 3 or 4 part time days
- We would simply schedule this around your availability and that of our instructors
If there’s more than one person that requires training, then we can deliver a class on-site at your offices. Typically, if you have three people or more, this can be an attractive option. Combining some of the benefits from both of the other two delivery methods, your class can be tailored to your organization, flexible scheduling and less cost.
The Classroom Experience
In the classroom, participants will get hands-on experience using the tools, working from a highly detailed training manual that can be taken away as an invaluable reference guide long after the class has ended. As each topic is covered, participants learn where they are in the process and why they are performing particular operations. The data used in class is closely based on real projects, so the sample data is realistic and can be used later, for reference.
Participants also get hands-on experience with problem-solving. Rather than making everything completely ideal, the training includes deliberate mistakes and errors in the data in order to challenge participants to learn and practice problem-solving skills. This may sound like a risky strategy, but we understand that individuals generally learn more when things go wrong than they do when things go perfectly – something that rarely happens in the real world.
The Ten Six Difference
Ten Six offers both off-the-shelf training classes and customized training courses. A unique feature of our off-the-shelf classes is that we use real world process situations and examples and teach the most relevant elements used in those environments, rather than use a broad brush approach demonstrating clever features and functions. You can be assured that, rather than going through the tool from A – Z, we focus on everyday real world scenarios to keep things real and practical.
The Ten Six approach to course customization is to closely align course content with your organization’s specific Project Management or Earned Value Management methodology, processes, tools, roles and absorption rate. By encompassing all of these elements in an integrated approach, attendees leave the training class knowing what they have to do, when it needs to be done and how to do it. This increases user adoption and reduces resistance to new enterprise implementations.
Some typical examples of course customization include organization specific:
- Enterprise tool suites
- Processes and procedures
- Case studies

Ten Six’s approach creates courses that provide practical learning experiences which can be readily and immediately applied within a specific environment. As a result, our clients often spend less time in the classroom and achieve a significantly more robust result, while saving money.
