We packed 35 real Primavera P6 terms into one puzzle. Some will make you nod. A few might make you Google.
Let’s be honest, project controls training doesn’t always have to feel like a PMP exam. So, we made something a little different. A proper old-school word search, packed with 35 terms straight out of Primavera P6. No multiple choice, no pass/fail. Just you, a grid of letters and the quiet satisfaction of circling PREDECESSOR before your colleague does.
Whether you’re a seasoned scheduler who could build a resource-loaded CPM network in your sleep, or someone who just got handed a P6 login and a deadline, this puzzle is for you. It’s a genuinely fun way to test how many terms you actually recognize… and maybe learn a couple you didn’t?
“The best way to remember a word is to hunt for it.”
What’s Hiding In The Grid?
We pulled 35 core P6 concepts, the ones that come up again and again in real scheduling work. They run horizontally, vertically and diagonally…forwards and backwards.
How To Use It
The download is two PDF files.
The first one is the puzzle itself, a clean 22×22 grid with the full word list printed below it.

The second is the answer sheet, with every hidden term highlighted so you can check your work (or just peek, we’re not judging).
Primavera P6 Word Search Puzzle – ANSWERS
It works brilliantly as a warm-up activity at the start of a P6 training session, a low-key team challenge or just something to print out and do with a coffee on a Friday afternoon. If you’re running a course or onboarding new schedulers, it’s a great icebreaker. People always have more fun than they expect!
A Word From Us
We put this together because we genuinely believe that the more familiar you are with P6 terminology, the more confident you feel navigating the software. Spotting FREEFLOAT in a word search is obviously not the same as calculating it in a live schedule, but it gets the vocabulary into your head. And, that matters more than people think!
