Lesson 1 – Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Learn how to correctly build a good WBS with the appropriate content and level of detail.
Lesson 2 – Activities: Learn the guidelines concerning the use of activities, their durations, naming conversions, IDs and other attributes that should be considered when creating activities.
Lesson 3 – Dependencies: As a key component in any schedule, dependencies (relationships) attract a lot of best practice guidelines. Learn about each of the most critical guidelines that affect the relationships you choose in your schedule and what a compliant critical path should look like.
Lesson 4 – Constraints: Another area of best practice standards that draws much debate, how and when to use constraints, what types of constraints are best, and what types should be avoided in P6 – or indeed any scheduling tool for that matter.
Lesson 5 – High Float: Too much high float can fail your schedule with government and commercial customers. The lesson covers how to identify the condition of high float, why it’s bad and how to cure it.
Lesson 6 – Negative Float: Negative float is another condition that your clients may reject your schedule. What does negative float alert you too and why might your customer object to its presence in a schedule.
