
The PMO Conference 2025 will be held on June 12 2025, at Kings Place, 90 York Way, London, N19AG, and is 100% for PMO project professionals.
PMO Learn will be held on June 11 before the conference at Friend’s House, 173-177 Euston Rd, London, NW1 2BJ. PMO Learn will be presented by PMO experts in a classroom setting. Four different themes will be available, where the theories will be discussed, followed by practical exercises. The four themes are:
- Information Management Using Systems Thinking- A look at the different types of organizational complexity and the role of a systems approach in managing complexity and information.An introduction to the Systems Thinking method for improving information flow and decision-making.
- The PMO Flight Plan: Navigating Chaos, Complexity & Control with the Right Approach-How PMOs can adapt their governance and decision-making, using a structured model to determine the right approach for any situation.
- So, You’ve Identified Your Benefits……Now What? A look at benefits profiles and the use of benefit maps for benefits categorization.
- PMO Service Catalogues—The Why, What, and How. This section covers developing a comprehensive Service Catalogue using the template used in the upcoming V2 of the PMO Services Catalogue. It also covers best practices for maintaining and updating the service catalogue to remain relevant and effective.
Celebrating its ten-year anniversary, PMO Conference 2025 will offer two Keynote speakers throughout the day and a great selection of tracks.
Opening Keynote
Reflections and Aspirations – The Past, Present, and Future of PMO

Eileen Roden, director and co-founder of the House of PMO and PMO Learning.
Americo Pinto is the managing director of the PMO Global Alliance (PMOGA).
Laura, Eileen and Americo will present ‘Reflections and Aspirations – The Past, Present, and Future of PMO’. In their keynote address, Laura, Eileen and Americo will reflect on the evolution of PMO over the last ten years. Laura, Eileen, and Americo will highlight the progress made by PMO, the challenges faced, and the opportunities available in the future. With their shared passion for PMO, Eileen, Laura, and Americo will discuss what they want to happen and wish would happen. Dreams might happen for PMOs, from aligning organizational strategy to leveraging emerging technologies and strengthening PMO leadership.
Closing Keynote
Professor Eddie Obeng is the Learning Director at Pentacle and author of ‘All Change’. Eddie will present ‘The Therapy of Change- How I Need to Change to Facilitate the Best Change’. Eddie will offer an interactive keynote designed to make delegates rethink how PMO professionals can adapt, thrive, and lead in a world of relentless change. Eddie will tackle some big questions:
- How do we align with our internal customers?
- How do we grow ourselves while managing our PMO brand?
- How do we position the PMO to add real, tangible value in a future coming at us faster than ever?
Eddie will offer handouts and tools in this therapy keynote and reveal pointers from his book ‘All Change.’
Tracks
Mehul Shah, Senior Director, PMO & Operations at Universal Orlando Resort.
Mehul will present ‘Universal Orlando Resort Themes for Success – Universal Lessons in PMO Transformation’. Mehul will explain how Universal Studios transformed the PMO using People, Process and Technology (PPT). Mehul will reveal how the right themes – innovation, agility and value can revolutionize a PMO. Mehul will offer insights on the lessons learned when launching blockbuster attractions and their effect on building their PMO.

Sarah Darracott-Hawkins, Head of Portfolio & Planning at the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC).
Sarah will present ‘Growth of the Centre of Excellence.’ Sarah will offer an overview of the NFCC, revealing how several areas were identified and actioned for improvement due to quality assurance reviews. One element, supporting delivery capability across the organization, led to the creation of various training workshops and masterclasses to boost project management skills. Sarah will explain some key areas, including risk management, and highlight how the PMO Centre of Excellence model can expand its reach with best practice approaches.

Nick Karamanis is the Head of PMO at AlphaPlus. Nick will present ‘The People-Centric PMO: Redefining Roles and Driving Growth.’ Nick will explain how AlphaPlus won APM PMO of the Year 2024 with their innovative approach to building a people-focused PMO. Nick will reveal their unique PMO model, which features the player-manager concept, a hybrid PM/PMO role. Nick will discuss how this people-first strategy offered excellence through collaboration, enabling AlphPlus to achieve growth threefold and deliver results without extensive financial investment.

Anna Milnes, Change Governance Lead, Pets at Home and Niamh King, Senior PMO Analyst, Pets at Home will present ‘Change Governance to PMO—How Pets at Home Made It Work’. They will discuss their PMO transformation, from starting with portfolio reporting to embedding a Change Delivery Lifecycle that works for the business. They will share lessons learnt from launching a PPM tool, developing just enough governance, and pragmatically tackling resource management. Finally, Anna and Niamh will explain how they explore using AI and power BI dashboards for decision-making to build a PMO that adds real value.

Dave Turnbull is the Enterprise Project Controls Manager with EDF. Dave will present ‘The Power of the Triple Set: Mindset, Skillset, Toolset for Data-Driven Project Management.’ Using EDF as a case study, Dave will explain how EDF has changed its employees’ mindset over a two-year period. Dave will reveal how, in 2023, EDF focused on the toolset:
- By building the infrastructure to mobilize data effectively.
In 2024, Dave will explain how EDF focused on the skillset:
- by upskilling employees who were already proficient in data analytics and seasoned professionals.
In 2025, Dave will discuss how EDF has changed employees’ mindsets and transformed project delivery.
