eVaintheUK (known this year as EVA#28) will hold its annual conference on May 11 2023. EVA#28 is an independent conference hosted by Steve Wake, that isn’t industry specific. EVA#28 is aimed at senior and middle management who have an interest in Project Management, Project Controls and Earned Value Management (EVM).
This year, EVA#28 will be filmed for web broadcasts and support from the trade press and social media. As with previous years, this year’s conference will be held at the historic Armourers’ Hall found in the heart of London.

EVA#28 will begin at 8.30 am and close for a networking reception at 5.45 pm. The format will include presentations led by industry experts. Networking opportunities will be built into the programme and all of the presenters will be available throughout the day. EVA#28 will culminate in a candlelit, networking dinner at 6.30 pm.
The theme for EVA#28 will be ‘Bridging the Knowing Doing Gap with the Controls to Take Back Control.’

Carolyn Browning is the Managing Director of Browning Consultancy and with over 20 years of experience is one of the leading experts in Project Planning and Control. Simon Taylor is Co-Founder of the th3rdcurve, a consulting company that offers companies Project and Programme Controls to help facilitate better decision-making. Both Carolyn and Simon will give their insights on ‘Raising the bar for Project Controls?’
Joseph Lee is the Regional Practice Leader for Project, Progam and Commercial Management at Mott MacDonald. Joseph will offer his insights in his presentation ‘Stay in Control by Starting in Control.’
Maddy Sears is a P3M Consultant at Costain. Maddy will offer her insights in her track ‘Making the Change stick-don’t be too WEIRD.’
Jemma Dunne Is a Senior Audit Manager for the National Audit Office and delivers Value for Money (VFM) reports for the NHS, defence and government programs. Using a case study, Jemma will offer her insights on ‘Lessons Learned: Resetting Major Programs’.
Edward Davey is the Policy and International Engagement Director, and the Food and Land Use Coalition; Co-Director, at the World Resources Institute (WRI) UK. Edward will offer his insights on ‘Climate Redemption in the 21st Century?’

Networking and Entertainment
Networking is scheduled throughout the day during breaks in the morning, at lunch, at the networking reception at the end of the day, and at the candlelit dinner. Networking offers delegates the opportunity to share knowledge and make professional connections.
Paul Lyalls is a poet in residence for the Ronald Dahl Museum 2013/14. Paul will be EVA#28’s poet-in-residence offering entertaining, witty poetry and stories.

The beds are comfy and the hotel offers a relaxing inviting stay. The Wi-Fi is very good and the staffs are helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding attractions. One night costs £175.

The Travelodge London is a 3-star hotel with a great location, situated only 0.4 miles from Armourers’ Hall. The Travelodge is clean and the staff are helpful. The beds are very comfortable. This accommodation offers a cheaper option inside central London. One night cfosts £50.
