Deltek ProjectCon 2023 is holding its annual conference on October 16-18. This is a massive event with over 3,000 delegates expected to attend, ranging from planners & schedulers, project engineers to Project Directors. Deltek ProjectCon will have something for everyone, regardless of their experience level and expertise.
Preconference Workshops will be available before the Deltek ProjectCon 2023 conference. Over the days, there will be over 300 tracks, product updates and roadmaps, tips and tricks, and hot topics, all run by industry experts. There will be Keynote Speakers and the opportunity to book a 1-1 meeting with an expert. The XPO centre and the UX lab will also be available to delegates. Entertainment will be available throughout ProjectCon, culminating in a party on Thursday, November 17.

Customize Powerful Reports in Deltek Cobra

Jeff and Jeremy will explain that this new feature is vital for integrating Cobra data with the government requirement of importing project data into the PARS II system. Using lessons learned from Sandia National Labs, Jeff and Jeremy will offer their insights on the key elements of building the project files for successful JSON validation and PAR II integration. Jarod Maloney, Deltek and Evangelos Fillis, Principal Solutions Engineer, Deltek. Jarod and Evangelos will present ‘Beyond Schedule Quality: Hidden Gems in Deltek Acumen.’ Jarod and Evangelos will offer their insights on the advanced capabilities in metric creation and reporting, like creating Metrics with calculated fields and using SNAP function for metrics that see trends over multiple schedule updates. Jarod and Evangelos will discuss performance metrics for consistent reporting throughout the project delivery. Jarod and Evangelos will explain various chart and reporting options using multiple schedule updates and create scenarios for schedule changes and what-if analysis.
Neil Smith is a principal Instructor at Deltek with 20 years of experience implementing, operating, supporting and teaching Deltek Cobra. Before joining Deltek, Neil spent ten years at Ten Six. Neil will present ‘P6 Professional to Open Plan Crosswalk’. Neil will offer his insights on the key differences between Primavera P6 Professional and Deltek Open Plan from both a strategic and tactical perspective. Neil will explain the past, present and future of P6 and Deltek Open Plan. Neil will offer an overview of P6 and Deltek Open Plan architectures (similarities and differences), project structures, calendars and code files. Neil will discuss things you cannot do in P6 Professional, unlike Deltek Cobra; copy/paste from spreadsheets, conditional formatting, calculated fields, built-in risk analysis, seamless integration, data validations, and baseline update previews.
Matt Wojciechowski, President, Intra Management Solutions, and Alex Corea, SME, BAE Systems SR, will present ‘Power Project Success Through the Use of Deltek Open Plan and Cobra’. Matt and Alex will offer their insights on how BAE Systems and Intra Management Solutions (IMS) implemented Deltek Cobra for EVMS and financial projections. Matt and Alex will explain that the implementation of finance and scheduling processes that are intimately integrated is essential when managing multiple projects of BAE Systems’ size and volume. Matt and Alex will discuss how Deltek Cobra bridges the gap between schedule and finance creating a robust system for management of EVMS data and financial forecasts.

Deltek will match experts qualified to answer questions about the specific topic and information provided in the meeting request. Deltek recommends sharing as much information as possible when you request your appointment so they can correctly align the best expert for your topic.
XPOand UX Lab
The XPO will be available to delegates throughout the conference. Deltek professionals will offer hands-on demonstrations of Deltek products and advice on best practices and industry trends.
The UX allows delegates to explore new product concepts and get a sneak peek at proposed new features. By participating in surveys and usability tests, delegates can help shape future design concepts.
Networking and Entertainment
Networking will be available after each track, where colleagues and friends can meet and catch up. Advice will be available in the Braindate lounge, where groups of up to 5 delegates can problem-solve and share experiences on different topics with the Deltek Project Nation.
