The Association of Project Management annual APM Conference 2026 will be held on April 29-30 at the Manchester Central Convention Complex (Windmill Street, Manchester, M2 3GX). The theme for the APM Conference 2026 will be ’The Power of Clarity’, exploring how, in a world of complexity, competing priorities and constant change, clarity is a powerful advantage for any project professional.
Keynote Speakers
Antonio Nieto Rodriguez is a world-renowned authority on project management and strategy. Antonio will present ‘What it takes to thrive in the Transformation Age: A new project mindset’. During his keynote, Antonio will focus on how project professionals can lead with clarity, navigate complexity and drive impact in a world defined by transformation. Antonio will discuss how work is becoming increasingly project-driven, and AI is accelerating analysis, planning and reporting. Antonio will reveal that the real differentiator is mindset.
Antonio will explain the behavioral and cognitive shifts professionals must make to lead in environments defined by constant change and ambiguity.
Angela Oguntala is a futurist and a global authority on foresight and innovation. Angela will offer a keynote on ‘Navigating Transformation and Uncertainty.’ Angela will offer an inspirational keynote that engages the audience on the future of work, providing strategies for navigating radical, continuous change. Angela will discuss the impact of new tech on organizational transformation, revealing how to harness emerging technologies like AI effectively. Angela will help delegates visualize futures in which technology, through strategic thinking, can solve real-world social challenges rather than just increase output.
Tracks

Sarah Layzell is the Digital Learning Manager, APM. Sarah will present the ‘APM Learning Platform’. Sarah will explain how she oversees the production of all digital learning resources for APM members. Sarah will offer a live demonstration of the APM Learning Platform, showing how it can drive professional development for existing members.
Rohit Malhotra is a project manager with AtkinsRealis and was voted Young Project Manager of the Year 2025. Rohit will present ‘Enhancing Collaboration-how to break down silos‘. Rohit will reveal how building a shared understanding across diverse, global teams breaks down silos and creates clarity. Rohit will discuss four key features in enhancing collaboration across diverse teams:
- Prioritize Cultural Awareness and Training: Provide cultural training to team members to help them understand cultural communication styles, enabling smoother interactions and reducing misunderstandings.
- Leverage Technology for Collaboration – Remote global teams rely heavily on technology to bridge the physical distance. Regularly review tools to see if they meet the team’s evolving needs. Consider time zones when scheduling meetings and project deadlines.
- Celebrate and Support Diversity as a Strength-Recognize the value each member brings and make sure they feel appreciated for their unique contributions.
- Encourage Open Feedback and Adaptability-Conduct regular check-ins to gauge team satisfaction and address any issues. Encourage a continuous improvement mindset in which team members feel comfortable suggesting changes. Act on feedback and communicate with the team when adjustments are made.
Raquel Horta is the Founder of Partnium Services and the Author of ‘Power Skills: The Human Edge in Project and Program Management’. Raquel will present ‘Speaking truth to power.’ Using her book to review anecdotes from different Project Management industries, Raquel will reveal how to strengthen power skills and align purpose with delivery to achieve a meaningful impact in any organization.
Raquel will disclose how to turn challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation and bring clarity to complexity.
James Evans is a Programme Manager and PMO Lead for the NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee. James will present ‘Creating psychologically safe teams’. James will discuss real case studies within the healthcare sector, focusing on how to sustain core operations while driving progress through innovation. James will discuss two key factors in creating safe teams:
- Fostering Environments: How to build workplace cultures that empower honest dialogue and creative problem-solving.
- Psychological Safety: The practical application of safety within teams to ensure they can navigate complexity and uncertainty effectively.
Eddy Datubo is Director of Transformation at the BBC. Eddy will present ‘Project outcomes-Finding clarity in a crisis’. As group director of large-scale organizational transformation and high-stakes project delivery, Eddy will focus on three key factors during his presentation:
- Leading through Transformation with Innovation: Navigating Complex environments, and using clarity as a driver for success in project-driven work.
- Bringing Clarity to Complex Projects: By focusing on the foundations of project controls, risk and change management.
- Decision-Making Transparency: Using truth in data to identify when a transformation is off-track and how to steer it back.
Becky Wood is the CEO of the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA). Becky will present ‘High Performing Teams’. Becky will reveal that building successful high-performing teams centers on three key factors:
- A Servant Leadership: Exploring practical approaches to fostering team growth and engagement through clear direction, purposeful alignment and effective support.
- A Collaborative Culture: Highlighting strategies and techniques to create open, intentional communication and collaboration, building stronger project teams.
