Quest is holding a digital conference ‘INFOCUS Envision’ starting on April 12-15 2021. INFOCUS Envision debuts in April and has a program focused on planning, including roadmaps, product updates and enhancements, and Cloud migration strategies.
Quest is an independent, international user community group that supports users of JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, and Oracle Cloud applications which includes Primavera P6 and Unifier.
The format for this digital experience will be a Keynote Speaker, Breakout sessions, Quest User Group Sig meetings, Exhibitors, and Networking.
Lyle Ekdahl, Senior Vice President Product Development, Oracle.
Lyle in his keynote address, ‘Innovation & Digitalization: How to Succeed in Challenging Times’ will discuss the importance of being able to adjust to changing market demands and unforeseen events. Lyle will offer his insights on factors that allow companies to remain successful; innovation and digital transformation. Lyle will explain how by embracing digitalization and innovation, costly manual tasks are removed. A re-imagining of the business process within a company and adopting modern technology can reduce costs and quickly meet changing market demands, innovating to create new business opportunities.
The breakout sessions will be provided in a flexible format, allowing delegates to pick and choose the sessions that fit in with personal learning styles and schedules. Delegates who live outside North America will be offered extended session hours and simulcast programming. A special global rate will be available for international attendees. Haiyan Wang, Oracle USA. ‘Increasing User Productivity with More Proactive User Experience.’ Haiyan will offer her insights on JD Edwards focus on Alert Analyse and Act that can help users become more productive and proactive. Reviewing JD Edwards UX One, Notifications, Search, and other productivity improvements, Haiyan will discuss how this can lead to an advantageous increase in productivity for organizations.
Aaron Johnson, Software Engineer, Oracle, ‘Using Orchestrator as a Test Tool with the Assertion Framework’ Aaron will offer his insights on how Orchestrator has become a key enabler for users embarking on digital transformation. Aaron will discuss its range of capabilities that have made it useful for several applications, including automation, simplification, Internet of Things, mobile applications, and integrations. Aaron will offer his insights on a recent enhancement, to the Assertion Framework which will allow the user to open more usage patterns, like using orchestrations as test scripts. Aaron will demonstrate the Assertion Framework displaying how the designer can specify the expected output of an orchestration. Aaron will show how the orchestration can not only verify that an application ran without errors, but that also produced the expected outcome.
Paul Houtkooper, Senior Director Oracle EnterpriseOne Development, Oracle ‘Understand Why Oracle Support is Critical for Success with JD Edwards’ Paul will offer his insights on why organizations should not run JD Edwards without Oracle Support as it is a critical system for any business. Paul will explain how the software continues to evolve and adapt to business changes, new technology, and security threats. Oracle Support ensures that JD Edwards is secure with the latest security standards, is validated with modern platforms, and leverages Oracle Cloud all while providing new feature functionality.
John Holder, Product Manager, Oracle, ‘The Continuous Improvement of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne System Administration’. John will offer his insights on the latest product innovations with the release of EnterpriseOne 9.2. John will highlight the system administration changes that will help simplify and automate common activities.
Ervin Rhodes, Principal Product Manager, Oracle, ‘JD Edwards Mobile Strategy’. The emergence of Orchestrator as the preferred method of connecting user interfaces to JD Edwards data and logic has inspired the formation of Oracle’s strategy. Ervin will explore the JD Edwards Mobile strategy and cover what it means for the user. As this is a hot topic Ervin will offer a Q&A at the end of the session.
Justin Walker, Senior Principal Technical Support Engineer, Oracle, ‘How JDE EnterpriseOne Became 64-bit’. Justin will demonstrate how to upgrade the JD Edwards suite onto a 64-bit platform. Justin will offer his insights on the benefits of upgrading to 64-bit, for future success.

The Small Business SIG meeting, chaired by Andrew Ostdiek, Enterprise Manager, Hamilton Telecommunications Offers the opportunity to learn more about their group and connect with similar professionals with small businesses. Supporting JDE in a small business without a lot of internal resources can be a challenge, but this group does it and can be a great resource to explore. If you don’t have a lot of internal resources to plan, benchmark, or roadmap solutions to solve problems for your business, this could be the Quest SIG for you!
The JDE Technology SIG meeting, chaired by David Bauerle, Sr. Programmer Analyst, Sunrise Medical Inc., and Linda Nelson, Business Success Director Accounting, ALLOut Security brings together technical support from customers, vendors, and Oracle for discussions.
All vendors will demonstrate their products online and will be available for queries about their products at specific times of the day.
