Oracle OpenWorld 2019 is an annual conference aimed at all Oracle customers including us Primavera users. Oracle Openworld is huge, attracting over 65,000 delegates from around the globe. This years’ event will take place from Monday, September 16 until Thursday, September 19 at the Moscone Center, 747 Howard Street, San Francisco, California, 94103.
With all of Oracle’s products under the spotlight during OpenWorld 2019, delegates will enjoy product roadmaps, strategies and new releases. Industry experts will be on hand offering product advice to Primavera users in the ‘Tips and Tricks’ section of the conference. We are also looking forward to over 80 Primavera related presentations.

‘Clark Construction group: Building an Integrated Platform for Project delivery’
Mike Antis, Vice President of Client Services, Oracle, Dave Golden, Senior Vice President, Clark Construction Group, LLC and Wayne Gray, Senior Director of Operations Finance, Clark Construction will present an interactive track, explaining how Clark Construction is working with Oracle to build a construction management technology platform that yields operational improvements and rich data insights across its business. Clark construction uses both Oracle Primavera P6 and Primavera Cloud for project execution. Clark will offer their insights on how through its partnership with Oracle is helping to realize their technology vision.
‘Getting Optimal Performance from Oracle E-Business Suite’
Samer Barakat, Oracle will summarize practical tips and lessons learned from performance-tuning. Samer will review some of the world’s largest Oracle E-Business Suite environments. Samer will offer his insights on some of the methods used for identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks on all layers of the Oracle E-Business Suite.
‘Boost your ROI: learn to identify the right resources for your business’
Denise Charleston, Senior Director, Global Customer Support – Training and Proactive Programs, Oracle. Denise will offer her insights on how to identify the Oracle Support proactive tools and services best suited to your needs. In this track, Denise will show delegates how to find free tools/services to proactively avoid business problems and optimize their use of Oracle products and cloud services.
‘Oracle EPM strategy and roadmap’
Hari Sankar, Product Management, EPM Apps Cloud, Oracle and Matt Bradley, SVP, Product Development, EPM, Oracle. Hari and Matt will both discuss the overall strategy and solution delivery roadmap for Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Cloud applications. Hari and matt will offer their expertise covering areas of EPM functionality including planning and budgeting, profitability and cost management, financial consolidation, financial close, external and internal reporting, and master data management, both in the cloud and on-premise.
‘Applications Unlimited: Oracle Premier Support Through at Least 2030’
Chris Welnak, Product Manager, Premier Support, Oracle. In this track, Chris will explain how delegates can maximize existing investment, retain stability and predictability, and take advantage of the enhancements currently in development and planned for Oracle’s Applications Unlimited roadmap. Chris will reaffirm Oracle commitment to on-premise customers by extending Oracle Premier Support through to at least 2030.
‘Oracle E-Business suite strategy and updates’
Clifford Godwin, Senior Vice President of Applications Development, Oracle. Clifford will offer his insights on the global business applications which will continue to enable organizations to make better decisions, reduce costs, and increase performance. Clifford will share the benefits delegates can expect to receive from both cloud and on-premise Oracle E-Business Suite investments now and in the future.
‘Oracle Project Portfolio Management Cloud: overview, Strategy and Roadmap’

Andrew will present a keynote ‘Autonomous Data Management’. In his annual address, Andrew will discuss what’s new and what’s coming next from the Database Development team.
Tracy Edwards MBE, around the world sailor. Tracy was expelled from school at the age of 15 and she left to travel the world. At the age of 17, she learned to sail and went on to win international fame as the skipper of the first all-female crew to sail around the world in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race. She became the first woman in its 34-year history to be awarded the Yachtsman of the Year Trophy. Tracy will offer her insights into what it took to race around the world.
Mick Ebeling is CEO and founder of Not Impossible Labs. Mick has passionately studied the concept of ‘Impossible’. In his presentation, Mick will explore the fallacy of ‘Impossible’ and the underlying psychological effects it has on an organization. Mick will offer his insights on how to overcome ‘Impossible’ so true innovation can take place.

Steve Miranda, Vice President, Applications Development, Oracle. Steve will present a keynote ‘How to Turn Change into Opportunity with Oracle Cloud Apps’. Steve will offer his insights on how Oracle Cloud apps can help delegates stay ahead of changing expectations. Steve will explain how AI, blockchain, IoT, and conversational UI can reshape core business processes from HR to finance to supply chain to the customer.
Dr. Vishal Sikka is Founder and CEO Vianai Systems, Inc. In his presentation ‘Unleash the power of Enterprise AI’ Dr.Vishal will share his insights on how a breakthrough platform can help unleash AI as an enabler of game-changing value for a business, an amplifier of human intelligence, and a general force for the good for humanity.

T.K will offer his insights about the bright new future for Oracle Analytics, where customers and partners benefit from augmented analytics working together with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, automating the delivery of personalized insights to fuel innovation without limits.
Exhibiting Hall, Hands-on Lab, Networking & More
Vendors will display their products and services. They will be exhibiting hands-on demonstrations, for delegates as well as offering tips and advice for best practices. The Hands-on Lab offers one to one in-depth tutorials with Oracle professionals on how to use Oracle software, in a classroom-style setting.
Networking areas are scattered all over the venue and offer delegates the opportunity to meet up with colleagues, make new contacts, discuss best practices and new emerging trends.
New to Oracle OpenWorld 2019 this year, Fit Fest offers delegates the opportunity to meet on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6.30am -7.30am in the Oracle Park for early morning exercises. Fitness instructors will be available for a multitude of fitness regimes, ranging from yoga to circuit training.
The popular Oracle Cloud Fest.19 will take place on Wednesday, September 18 at the ATT&T Park, a 15-minute walk from the Moscone Center. Headlining acts include the rapper Flo Rida and John Mayer. Gates open at 7 pm and you can network with friends until 11 pm.
There are many different options available from one to two day passes to full conference passes which allow delegates access to Fit Fest and Cloud Fest. Delegates arriving early in San Francisco have the option to beat the queues, as registration is open on Sunday, September 15.

Virgin Hotels has quickly become popular with its rooftop bar and restaurant. Virgin Hotels is in a prime location close to restaurants and cafes and only 0.1miles from the Moscone Center.
