Is it possible in Primavera P6 Professional to schedule automatically?
I recently provided a client an updated schedule and the goods news they would meet the contract completion deadline by one week. The only problem was I neglected to recalculate the schedule. When this mishap was discovered I subsequently recalculated the schedule and found out that the schedule would miss the contract completion deadline by 3 days. Could this missed oversight have been avoided?

When we toggle on automatic scheduling, Primavera P6 will schedule automatically. It will update the schedule when a change affects dates.
The outstanding question is if you are planning a project schedule which setting is more appropriate: automatic or manual scheduling? Your selection depends in part on your confidence in Primavera P6 Professional’s ability to undo changes made previous to a schedule calculation. Primavera P6 Professional does have an undo feature though. So, theoretically you should be able to reset changes made prior to a schedule calculation.
