Deltek is holding their 10th Annual Insight Conference this year at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland, just outside of Washington DC. With last year’s conference attracting over 3,000 attendees, Deltek Insight 2016 should be on the calendar of all Deltek users. Over 35 sessions will be devoted to their Project Management tool suites, ranging from panel discussions, hands on product overviews, tips and tricks from industry experts, industry trends and the product road maps.

A renowned celebrity Keynote Speaker, Ken Burns, will be presenting. Deltek is also offering first class entertainment with jamming sessions from the lead singers of four 90’s bands, ‘Locash’, Mark Mcgrath from ‘Sugar Ray’, Emerson Hart from ‘Tonic’ and Kevin Griffin from ‘Better than Ezra’.
This year’s keynote speaker is award winning film producer and documentarian Ken Burns. Ken will be offering a fascinating insight into the world of filmmaking. Ken’s wealth of experience in making historical documentaries will ensure this is an entertaining glimpse into his world.
Project Management Tools Product Overview
There will be a full demonstration of Acumen, paying attention to schedule risk assessment improving schedule quality and demonstrating how to accelerate the schedule back within time frames. Acumen 8.0 New Features and Roadmap will discuss the recent developments and changes in Acumen 8.0 looking at the new Deltek PPM interface as well as plans for future releases.
Deltek will introduce Cobra with a full demonstration of this cost management solution. Emphasis will be on how Cobra can visibly manage project costs, measuring earned value and analyzing budgets (actual and forecasts). The Cobra 8.0 New Features and Roadmap presentation will cover Cobra 8.0, reviewing the changes and the new innovative features, which will enhance workflow. They will also discuss Cobra’s future with the latest roadmap.
A full demonstration of Deltek PM Compass, the PPM command center. Particular emphasis will be to show how by using PM Compass, control can be gained in all areas of the project organization.
PM Compass 8.0 New Features and Roadmap session will demonstrate new features and improvements to key areas of this application as well as a new interface. It will also look beyond the current version and what we can expect in future releases.
Deltek MPM to Cobra Conversion Process
Deltek will demonstrate and discuss the transition from MPM to Cobra featuring the new conversion utility.
The Open Plan sessions will place emphasis on the ease of use and learning tools for your Project Management team. Open Plan 8.0 New Features and Road Map presentation will show the recent changes in Open Plan 8.0 as well plans for future versions.
The Deltek folks will present wInsight Analytics, highlighting how performance analysis has progressed to associative analytics. Deltek’s innovation has led it to be the first company to apply this technology to Earned Value Management This is the same technology that major search engines like Google use.
wInsight Analytics 8.1 New Features and Roadmap session will cover the recent improvements to Deltek wInsight Analytics. It will also reveal further planned changes, which will keep Deltek at the cutting edge of Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and Reporting.
