Barbecana have just announced the availability of Full Monte for Oracle Primavera P6. Full Monte is a Schedule Risk Analysis tool that uses Monte Carlo simulation and has been available for Microsoft Project for some time now.
Now Primavera P6 users can take advantage of its capabilities which work directly against the P6 database avoiding any clumsy importing or exporting. All Full Monte data is stored in Primavera P6 User Defined Fields and so are automatically included when you copy a project or create an XER file. This direct link helps Full Monte maintain its reputation for being very fast. It also provides a simple way to add powerful Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis capabilities directly to Oracle Primavera P6. Some of the features include:
- Probability distributions for task durations, resource cost rates, and calendars
- Correlations between durations, cost rates
- Auto-correlation and seasonality in calendars
- Full results for every task
- Sophisticated sensitivity analysis
- User-defined reports
Of course, there’s a lot more to this release than what’s listed above, so you can learn about this release and Full Monte in general by visiting Barbecana’s web site. The folks at Barbecana are also offering free 30-day trials so you can check it out before you buy. Once hooked on Full Monte, you can buy a perpetual license for only $1,195.
