A great event for folks interested in Earned Value Management is the EVM Practitioners Conference (EVMP). This year it has broadened it’s appeal by hooking up with the LinkedIn Cobra Users Forum. The conference now includes not only EVM process but the Deltek Cobra and wInsight tools as well. This one day event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia on July 30th.
The EVMP Conference is organized by EVM application users to share best practices and help others become more effective in their use of EVM tools analysis and reporting.
Here are the details of the hotel where the conference is being held.
Hyatt Regency Crystal City
2799 Jefferson Davis Hwy,
Arlington, VA 22202
Tracks, Tracks, Tracks
There are three tracks organized and each track will consist of six 1-hour sessions.
- Deltek Cobra
- Deltek wInsight
The intent is for tool users to share their real world experiences rather than hear the latest pitches from the tool vendors.
David Nelson, Office of Secretary of Defense, Performance and Root Cause Analysis (PARCA) will be presenting and update on Integrated Program Management Reporting.
Donnah Laster, U.S. Army PEO GCS will be discussing the Earned Value Management Analysts Monthly Process.
In addition, our own Neil Smith will be presenting in the Deltek Cobra track covering Managing Rate Changes On In-flight Projects.
Registration fees to attend the one day event is $445 if you book before July 4th, thereafter, the fee is $495. You can register for this event by clicking here.
There are also optional training days the day before and the day after the conference (July 29 and July 31) which offer paid training sessions.
The Ten Six loves these user driven events; they are short, focused and offer great value for both your money and time. We look forward to seeing you there!
