This years annual IPM 2013 conference will be held on November 18-20 in Bethesda, Maryland. Putting the IPM 2013 tag line “Finding Opportunities” aside, this event is a great chance to learn more about Performance Measurement and Earned Value Management (EVM).
For those of you that can remember last years IPM conference, will recall that it was postponed by Hurricane Sandy and subsequently negatively affecting the level of attendance. We are all hoping that this year will proceed as planned.
The main themes and tracks at this years IPM conference include:
The training track is designed to help attendees gain an understanding of the principles of Earned Value Management (EVM) and data analysis techniques. This sessions help attendees form both the government and industry.
The workshop sessions are focused on introducing new ideas and methods that improve project performance. These sessions are open and designed for lively discussion and debate on the merits of the workshop topic.
The Practice Symposia looks at the challenges and issues of implementing EVM. It offers experiences and lessons learned as well as how other organizations have integrated project performance management with other management techniques.
