Most Deltek Cobra users save their configurations whenever they use the Integration Wizard. This saves time when similar integration steps are needed; but it also leaves a growing list of named configurations in the Open Configuration dialog. After a time you can end up with an impressive list of saved configurations, many of which you will never use again. So how do you remove these unwanted configurations from the system?
Saved configurations are stored in the Deltek Cobra database so that they can be called up by name in the Integration Wizard whenever you need to reuse the settings. To do this you can use the “Open an existing configuration” option in the Integration Configuration dialog and select the required item from the Open Configuration dialog’s list.
Managing Integration Configurations
Integration Configurations can also be managed via the Configuration Security dialog. This feature is accessed from the File | Integration | Configuration Security… menu option.
When you first open this dialog, the table area is blank. You can use the Filter area to select the configuration process you are looking to view; either Integration Wizard or wInsight.
Once selected, you can choose to look at configurations owned by all users by selecting the “Show all users” option. Finally click on the Apply Filter button to display the list of configurations in the system.
From the table area you can select configurations and make them read only if you want to protect them from changes by other users. You can also remove unwanted configurations by selecting them and using the Delete button.
