These are great for inspiring and building new analyses and dashboards.
Industry Samples Dashboard
The new ‘Industry Samples’ dashboard highlights Primavera P6 Analytics solutions focused towards asset-intensive industries. These are typically maintenance, turnaround and shutdown/outage projects. These new pages show an overview of daily burn downs, schedule compliance, and other performance metrics.
The Routine/On-Line Maintenance page shows work planning, schedule adherence per role, and schedule compliance per week.
Daily History
Here you can capture the Daily history of activity and resource assignments. This provides more detail on the day-to-day changes in your portfolio. You can now also capture slowly changing dimensions, for example, activity names or code values. These change are captured allowing you to review the prior values and when they changed.
Additional UDF and Type Support
Primavera P6 Analytics 3.1 now supports date and text User-Defined Field (UDF) types in addition to the previously supported cost, integer, and number UDF types. The UDFs that support this feature include:
- Project UDFs
- Resource UDFs (New)
- WBS UDFs
- Activity UDFs
- Resource Assignment UDFs (New)
Code Hierarchies
All global codes configured in the Primavera P6 Analytics Reporting Database Configuration Utility together with full path values or node level values are now automatically available as hierarchies in P6 Analytics 3.1. Code hierarchies have a limit of approximately 240 codes for each supported type (Project, Activity, and Resource) that can be brought into Primavera P6 Analytics from P6.
Rebuilding the Schema
Primavera P6 Analytics 3.1 has a new function that you can use when the star schema database needs to be recreated preserving history. The “-r” function backs up the current data, rebuilds the schema, and repopulates the tables. This allows the database to be restored to the default state and keep the current data intact.
